We are working with BizChair.com in their search for an Internet Marketing Analyst. Based in Canton, GA., BizChair was one of the first online-only office furniture retailers. For several years, BizChair.com held the first slot in the organic Google rankings for ‘Office Chairs.’ Despite aggressive market competition, it remains prominently ranked and an Internet Retailer Top 300 company.

HARRY’S COMMENTS: Some of our readers might remember a search we did for this client last year which resulted in their addition of Garrett Matthews, a world-class customer acquisition executive from Crutchfield.com. Garrett had offers from two of our clients and chose BizChair.com, an Internet Retailer Top 500 company that specializes in selling chairs and furniture for offices, schools, restaurants, medical facilities, and homes.

The Mark Zuckerberg of Office Furniture

You might think that there aren’t many opportunities to build a high-growth business in a category like institutional furniture, but you’d be dead wrong. BizChair.com was founded in 2001 by Sean Belnick, whom at the time was still in his teens. In middle school, Sean made thousands of dollars selling Pokemon cards online as well as designing web sites for friends, family, and local companies. Later, with advice from his stepfather who was in the office furniture business, Sean founded and grew BizChair.com to more than 75 employees and 472,000 sq. ft. of warehouse space. Revenues will top $70 million this year.  Here’s Sean (age 19!) on CNN in 2006 …

Between Sean and Garrett, cool things are afoot at BizChair.com, and the company needs a sharp analyst to help grow the business. This is a new position, and the client is looking for someone who has highly technical analytics knowledge to synthesize reams of data to inform more intelligent marketing decisions. In your first 100 days on the job, you’ll find yourself …

  • Reviewing the spend for various search engines to make sure that BizChair is adjusting bids as necessary – and in a timely manner.
  • Working with CSE’s to lower BizChair’s costs wherever possible.
  • Optimizing spend across multiple acquisition channels.

According to Sean, “The job is really about helping Garrett make changes to his programs. Garrett will be formulating and driving the company’s acquisition strategies, and this new hire will be looking in the weeds, suggesting specific changes.”
