San Quirico, Tuscany: Roberto Spizzichino died this week. Mr. Spizzichino was, perhaps, the greatest cymbalsmith who ever lived. And while Mr. Spizzichino’s passing is a great loss to jazz musicians everywhere, as legendary NY music retailer, Steve Maxwell, said “[Spizzichino’s] legacy will live forever in the superb musical instruments he created.”
