The Director of SEM (Travel) is responsible for strategic planning and managing paid search and display campaigns for FKQ Internet marketing clients. Responsibilities include; planning, budgeting, executing and evaluating interactive marketing campaigns. Candidates MUST be able to assess client’s current interactive campaigns and provide actionable next steps for improvement. As a Director at FKQ, you are expected to bring a very blue-collar attitude to the firm: This will be a hands-on role that will require vision and strategic agility. You must be the total package to attain a Director title at FKQ.
HARRY’S COMMENTS: Candidate must have experience with large paid search budgets as well as have very deep travel and/or hospitality experience. Hotel, airline, rental car industry experience is preferred. Ideal candidate must be hands on. This is an extremely hands-on, action oriented position. Experience with Omniture is preferred, as is some exposure to Google Analytics and Core Metrics. FKQ is a major Omniture user, so experience with Site Catalyst, Search Center, and Test and Target is a huge plus. From time to time, this role will interface with clients. It is not a behind-the-scenes position. Strong communication skills and an ability to conduct oneself professionally are required.
- Leads the creation of client media objectives and strategies
- Develop and manage a variety of digital media campaigns (including Paid Search, Display, Mobile, etc) campaign strategies and tactics for all assigned clients.
- Emphasis on Paid Search.
- Implementation of Paid Search tactics that include: keyword development, bid management, ad copy testing & budget allocations
- Plan, negotiate and execute Digital Media campaigns based on client objectives
- Host ongoing meetings with current and potential Online Media vendors
- Create, monitor and analyze the reporting of Paid Search and Digital Media campaigns
- Grow client revenue by identifying opportunities through interactive media
- MUST HAVE TRAVEL / HOSPITALITY / CAR RENTAL EXPERIENCE. Please highlight this on your resume!
- 5+ years of paid search experience
- In-depth knowledge of Google Adwords and Bing Ads
- Ability to work independently
- Strong analytical background
- Ability to multi-task while meeting tight deadlines
- Problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong attention to detail
- PC proficiency and solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
- Agency experience working with multiple clients
- Experience working with global or high-profile brands
- Omniture Site Catalyst and Search Center experience
- SEO experience, a plus!
