One of the coolest ecommerce jobs around!

HARRY’S COMMENTS: We are looking for a first-rate Ecommerce Channel Manager to join a fast-growing gifting company based in Costa Mesa, California. Due to the importance of this job, the client will need you to be in the office two days per week, so for all intents and purposes — you’ll need to live within driving distance to John Wayne Airport.

About the Company

Between the three members of the Executive Team, the firm has over 50 years of experience in the premium gourmet foods and food gifts space, having previously grown a highly successful west coast gourmet food gifting company to the mid-8 figures. (Small world: I placed a VP of Ecommerce with them back in 2016.)

In their latest food gifting business venture, these three execs are already crushing it — and now they look to add a healthy Amazon 3P channel to a very brisk base of business that sits atop a wholesale clientele of 40 key brick and mortar retailers.

One of the firm’s core competencies is licensing, and its exclusive brands include some of the world’s most sought-after properties. The founders’ goal is to provide their retail partners with unique items of outstanding quality while offering consumers exciting flavor profiles, on-trend packaging, and affordable gifting solutions while extending those advantages online.

That’s where YOU come in.

As the firm’s new Ecommerce Channel Manager, your job will be to scale the online business — first and foremost on Amazon, then in other 3P channels. Currently on Amazon, the firm markets 1/ pet gifts, 2/ cocoa, coffee, and tea, 3/ hot sauces and seasonings, 4/ cocktail kits (margarita kits and the like), and 5/ baking accessories.

The firm sells thru Seller Central / FBA, and you’ll need to be the resident expert. Since the Amazon business is relatively new, you’ll need to develop a strategy for developing A+ content while you get the advertising up and running. The good news is the company is leveraging an agency to work with you (at least in the beginning), and it has set aside a hefty budget for the Amazon channel.
