We are working with AccuQuilt in their search for an Ecommerce Marketing Manager who’s “a cut above.” The role will be based in Omaha, NE. AccuQuilt was originally part of the AccuCut family of stores that offered innovative cutting solutions to the quilt, education and craft markets. In 2008, AccuQuilt spun out to cater exclusively to the quilting industry.

You might say they cover the industry like a blanket.

Okay, I’ll stop now.

The quilting market is no laughing matter. Turns out, it’s nearly a $4 billion behemoth. As usual, I did some research, and here’s what I found: 14% of U.S. households are home to at least one active quilter. The total number of quilters in the U.S. now exceeds 21 million, and each of these crazy quilters spends $190 annually. Quilters are proud of their work and they talk to each other online. The most avid quilters represent 6.2% of all quilting households and account for 69% of total industry expenditures. Yowza!

So, who is she??

Well, she’s typically 62 years old; well educated (72% attended college); affluent ($91,602 HH income); and she spends spend on average $2,442 per year on quilting. She’s been quilting for roughly 16 years, and if you must know: 44% prefer traditional quilts, while 50% enjoy both traditional and contemporary styles.

AccuQuilt is run by quilters, and it offers quilters, fabric crafters and retailers a premiere line of fabric cutters, dies, quilting patterns and other quilt and fabric cutting solutions that help quilters quickly and accurately cut shapes for quilting and fabric crafts. AccuQuilt also offers quilters a wide variety of rich educational resources to enhance their quilting experiences.

And they’re pretty good at it too. This YouTube video has been viewed 87,696 times, and the company’s YouTube channel has 1,167,171 views with 1,469 subscribers …
